In this talk, I experimented thinking about theory from a grounded perspective. With a specific focus on the theory of hospitality—a field that is not yet theoretically developed in social sciences or Migration and Refugees Studies, I then cross compare it with hostility through the analysis of pre-colonial Punjabi poetry.
