The Life of Skin depicts the processing of animal hides in the traditional tanneries of Kasur, one of Pakistan’s oldest and most renowned centers of leather production. It shows how raw hides are transformed into finished leather, journeying through various intricate stages of the process—soaking, liming, dehairing, tanning, and finishing.
